Lucy founded Smartist Social Media in 2021. She had been working in social media on a freelance basis for 7 years by this stage and had also used it to promote her own successful art business for just under 10 years. Social media is a task that requires all the key skills Lucy had gained from her career path – a degree in business with marketing followed by a 20 year career in IT then running her own art business for 10 years. Running a social media agency requires technical skills, an ability to understand client’s needs and build strong working relationships plus of course, creativity.

Smartist has grown into a boutique agency who support local SMEs, offering one-off workshops and part or full social media management.
